I was up at 6 AM on Wednesday (1/1) to get ready
for our brunch. First up was clearing
away everything out of the kitchen and setting up extra chairs and tray
tables. Then the oven got turned on and
baking commenced. We decided that the
cinnamon rolls didn’t need to be served piping hot (especially since they get
an icing at the end), so I put those together and into the oven they went:
Next up were the ham/poppyseed rolls:
Finally the egg casserole and killer pecan
sticky buns went in so that they came out right at 10 AM when people
arrived:
|
I layered all of Michael's sauteed veggies in the bottom, then added ham |
|
added a generous helping of shredded cheese |
|
beat up 20 eggs with seasonings and poured them over.....yum!!! |
|
here are the sticky buns, flipped out into a pan |
While the eggs and sticky buns were baking, I cut up fruit for a salad:
Michael ran out to get a box-o-joe from Dunkin Donuts and got our drinks stations set up:
|
champagne |
|
mulled cider |
|
coffee |
We got everything set out in time:
and the guests started to arrive. Some people brought additional food:

I think it was a great party and everyone seemed to have a really good time! We both collapsed for a bit after everyone left, but eventually ot our second (or maybe third) winds. After running the dishwasher 3 times....all of the party dishes were done!
We just basically relaxed the rest of the day....it was a wonderful start to 2020.
