leftovers quilt done!, last fleece done!

We were up at 6:30 AM on Friday with lots to do.  I popped one of the Apple Coffee Cakes into the oven and headed downstairs to do my blog.  Michael ran the apple cakes down to Joanne & Larry’s (one baked, one for their freezer), and of course I forgot to snap a pic before they left, as a tiny thank you for the soap cutters Larry made a few weeks ago.  After that, Michael got a list together and headed out to his ear appointment (for his hearing aids), breakfast out, and stops at Michael’s (to get poster board and other things for Chocolate Event) and the Dollar Store (more stuff for Chocolate Event) before heading home.  We had a Pulte rep come to visit us to look at the cracks in the ceiling of our basement.  He didn’t like what he saw :~(, so is sending out an engineer for another look.  I spent all morning and the beginning of the afternoon , making another label:

and working on more binding and voila:

another Clinton quilt finished…YAY!  Around 3 I headed upstairs for some reading and a nap!  We left at 4:30 and headed to the Lake House to see a friend’s paintings in the art gallery.  This is the guy who painted Cookie & Elsie and his still lifes were beautiful.  He wants to pick up the C&E painting from us on Sunday to display it next week  :~).  After that we headed over to the Golf Club House to meet Jan & Pat & George & Lisa for a fish fry dinner.  OMgoodness…the fish was FABULOUS!!!  We all agreed they should do that once a month.  When we got home, I read for a bit more, then at 8 PM we settled in to watch BUILDING STAR TREK.  Since it is the 50th anniversary of the original STAR TREK (which I definitely remember watching with my dad), there are a lot of specials on TV, and we’re trying to catch them all.  The great news is…I finally finished tying my LAST fleece blanket….YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!
