quilts in progress, dinner before FMCP

Michael spent Friday morning (3/18) at rehearsal and then at the Performing Arts meeting.  I spent it in the studio, beginning to quilt the third fish quilt and working on binding for the 2 already quilted.  By 4 PM I had finished quilting the fish quilt

and had made a good start on binding the first fish quilt

and finally headed upstairs to get ready for our evening.  We got a group of 34 people to go to the Fort Mill play tonight, and 22 of them came to our house first for a pot luck dinner.  So it was redd up the house, put out extra chairs and tray tables, mix up lemonade and iced tea, put out plates and silverware, take a quick shower and get dressed.  June & Eileen showed up a bit early to check out Miss Scarlet and I think Eileen was suitably impressed.  Everyone else arrived and there was a plethora of good food and great desserts (somehow I never get pictures of the desserts :~(

We all left just after 6:30 and headed over to the theatre.  The Play “Honky Tonk Angels” was every bit as good as people have been telling me it was!  The 3 gals who did all of the singing were fantastic!  We were home by 10:30 and cleaned up the rest of the dishes and started the dishwasher before heading to bed.
