2nd QoV

My blog platform seems to have settled down.  You probably missed a posting or 2 (I've been writing about my life every day for over 20 years....so whether I have a blog platform or not.....it's now part of my DVA!!), so you may want to go to the blog directly (Janice, can't wait to talk to you about this next week!).  Otherwise…..I’m BAA_AAck!

We had a busy morning on Wednesday (11/6).  At 9 AM we had a meeting with our medicare supplemental specialist.  She is going to change my drug plan for 2020, since the new glaucoma medicine I am on is better covered under WELLCARE than under AETNA (my current provider).  Hopefully we will not have to meet with her again until the next open enrollment period at the end of next year.  When we were finished Michael loaded up the car to leave on his errands (chiro, liquor store, Harris Teeter, Home Depot), and the car wouldn’t start!  Boy, have I been glad we’ve had Triple these last several years  :~).  They came and gave us a jump, but recommended he stop somewhere to get the battery checked out as this happened not that long ago.  When I think about it….the last time we used the car was last Friday……so it sat until Wednesday morning…..maybe that’s why.

Anyway, by NOON he was finally on the road, and I was in my studio.  He ended up at Triple A to get it checked out….and was there for THREE hours  :~(.  They couldn’t find anything wrong with the car, so eventually he was on his way…..but he didn’t get home until 4:30!!!

I finished basting my newest QoV quilt and  started quilting:

do you like this pattern?  I'd love to hear some feedback

and started sewing my purple rows together.  I worked until 7 PM before heading upstairs to be with my honey and knit.

The best political cartoon of the week.....these days it certainly seems like with money and power you can get away with just about anything:

  1. Hi Deb, I'm glad "you're back". I would have missed the quilts and food pictures.
Your new star quilting pattern is a good one.
