Wednesday
morning (6/13), Michael took Cookie for a walk while I got my blog out. Then it was time to SKYPE with Janice while
Michael was out running errands and grocery shopping. I spent a little bit of time continuing to
sew my blocks together after that, but in the afternoon (while Michael was out doing another harvest):
I decided I had better
get some homework done for the class tomorrow at Scrap Happy Quilters. Three LO_O_O_ONG hours later I gave up! I went through plans “A” and “B” and “C” to
make my green strips for the 3-D Christmas pillow, and not one of them
worked :~(. I’m going to watch the class tomorrow, and
maybe attempt it at some point in the future when I figure out a better way….but
not now.
After that I dropped back to
sewing together my blocks from my Scrap Happy project:
By the time I went upstairs after 7 PM, I had
all of the blocks into columns. I have
to find and sew together different colors for the vertical sashing before I can put the columns
together…but it is moving along. I spent
the evening watching TV and ripping out stitches to re-claim blue fabric and
small strips of batting from the pile I showed you a few days ago!

a close up of one...isn't it beautiful? |
If you think you would like to own these,
just leave me a comment. (For those of
you who want to own them and don’t yet know how to leave a comment (hint:you
need to go to the real blog, not the email of the blog you might be getting), I
guess you’ll figure it out!) You’ll know
if your comment worked because I will reply to you (as long as I know who you
are, so if you’re not sure, please include your email address within the comment
itself!!) So, let me know what you think
you might do with them in the comment.
By some miracle if I get more than one comment, the winner will be
picked by a random generator (otherwise known as putting all of your names in a
hat and letting Michael pull one out
:~). I'll pick a winner over the weekend.....so....get going!!!
I would love the butterflies my quilting companion. I will incorporate them into my upcoming quilts and send you pictures
ReplyDeleteI think you know my email
ReplyDeleteMe, me, me, please! I love butterflies enough so that my mom and I were once stranded at a butterfly farm in the Caribbean. We had to beg a ride with strangers to get to where we could get a taxi back to the ship. What would I do with them? Love them and probably hang them in my bedroom.
ReplyDeleteHow generous to give away the butterflies ! They are really beautiful - but I'm not a butterfly fan. BUT, if they're aren't any takers (I'd be shocked), I could envision them on the cover of a hand made note card which is what I would do with them.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to do a giveaway !
Wondering if the comment I made on this yesterday went through? AM143πππΎπΎ
ReplyDeleteGreat post however I was wondering if you coukd
