Fiber Nutz, Jim N's 75th birthday party

Friday (6/22) went by in a flash…I had a meeting in the morning, got home in time to go with Jan to CHIC_FIL_A for a peach milkshake…then back to Jan’s house to look at the floor plan for the new place she is moving to.  She will be moving to Windsor Run, into independent living, with a chance to graduate to assisted living when and if she needs to.  This is supposed to happen sometime in the fall of this year.  We haven’t had much time to talk over the past 2 weeks as her son and daughter-in-law have been at her house helping to clean out lots and lots of stuff.  She brought me home in time to pack up my 2 latest quilts and head on over to Kathy’s house for our monthly meeting of FIBER NUTZ (our weaving/spinning group!)

She had a tremendous spread of food and we ended up stitting around the table talking (I didn't get a picture of the cheese tray):

We had great show and tell:

2 throws made by Kathy's previous weaving group

Marilyn did a watercolor on the left, and a felted piece on the right from a photograph she took.

I got home from that in time to get cleaned up and head on over to Jim and Ann Mary’s to celebrate Jim’s 75th birthday:  It was a wonderful party with most of our neighbors:
