Michael
left just after 7 AM for golf on Saturday (5/18), while I cleaned up the
kitchen a bit before heading downstairs to get my blog out.
After that Janice and I spent a lovely bit of
time on the lanair, drinking coffee/tea, reading emails and finishing up a
book. Eventually we headed to the studio
where Janice began ripping out the basting and weaving in bobbin ends on her
quilt, while her apprentice avidly looked on:
I started a label for a QoV:
and then dug out Sandy’s quilt to get it
loaded on my frame:
I stopped for a long
nap in the afternoon (too many nights staying up until mid-night…reading!), but finally finished
the basting before showering/dressing/leaving after 4:30 to head out to the Red
Rocks Café.
We met 8 other people for
dinner (and the food was FABULOUS!!!)
this was my almond grouper....divine! |
Janice's chicken marsala, which she said was excellent |
and Michael's coconut salmon. He said the salmon was perfectly cooked, but he could have used a touch more coconut! |
before heading to the Lodge to see
DOUBLEWIDE TEXAS. Our friends, Ann Mary & Jim were ushering:
The play was cute, and it was wonderful to be home 5 minutes after the end of it :~).

We all relaxed in the living room, reading and playing computer games
before heading off to bed.
