Monday
morning (5/13) Michael was up early for golf, and I was up early to get a start
on the social security/medicare info.
After starting and stopping several times (the system allows you to save
what you have input so far and then come back to it)…and several phone calls
with a Medicare specialist, I believe I am all signed up to start Medicare and
get my Social Security benefits as of July of this year.
During one of my stops I made a short trip to
the Lake House to recycle my styrofoam egg cartons (and found out that all
other styrofoam could be recycled at our local Publix!!) and to the library
to drop off beaucoup books for donation.
During another stop, I baked a 1/2 dozen giant chocolate chip cookies (at least 4 inches across!) for Michael’s cookie jar:
Once I finished the Medicare stuff, I rewarded myself
by spending a lot of time on the lanair, soaking in the gorgeous day and
reading my new library book, but finally headed to my studio around 1 PM. I got a delievery at one point, and was so surprised to get a gorgeous bouquet of flowers:
from our financial planners....celebrating 25 years of working together! Truly, there is no way Michael and I could have afforded to live here in SCCL without Al & Lynn managing and growing our $$$ all of these years.
I worked on loading up 2 charity quilts in
the afternoon:
and had company on my ever growing to-be-bound pile:

At 5:45
we left to pick up Paula & Doug
to head out to Hickory Tavern for dinner. Our burger dinners were all delicious:
Michael even got the margarita special, which he said was yummy |
and we
were all stuffed by the time we left.
I
knit away the rest of the evening while watching TV with my honey.
Everything is better when we do it together!!
