Michael left at 7 AM (!!!) for golf here at
SCCL and I jumped up to get ready for another bread class. I only had one student, but she was a delight
as she is an accomplished bread baker already and we had lots and lots to talk
about :~)

I asked why she took the
class, and she said the first time I did a demo at Cooking Fingers, she learned
a lot, so she figured it would be the same.
We ended up making all of her dough into rolls,
she is going to bake
them, and then make the ham/cheese sliders with poppyseed/mustard/butter spread on them. I sent her the recipe, along with a tutorial
from the blog to get her started. Her
neighborhood is getting together on Saturday for our 4th of July
parade and that is when she will be serving them. After she left, I put together whole wheat sandwich bread
(which will be the second bread lesson I am teaching)
and some yummy lemon bars
for quilting on Thursday.
By then
Michael was home from golfing…he said it was a fun, fast format and his 4-some
came in 1 under par. We both got cleaned
up and headed over to Gale & Phil’s for dinner. Sally was there as well and that was a
delightful surprise. Gale made penne and
meatballs and sausage, extra sauce, garlic bread and tomatoes with basil and mozzarella. Everything was fabulous!!! I took over a few lemon bars, but she also
had apple pie and ice cream for dessert.
We all stayed and talked until almost 9, then came home and watched
several episodes of BRAIN GAMES…a show we love on the Discovery Channel.
