customer quilt loaded up

Michael left for the second day of the tournament on Tuesday (11/6) not sure if he would be able to do it.  His back had been spasming since he woke up, and sure enough, by 10:30 AM he was back home.  His back was killing him, but he was also dizzy and weak and had a funny feeling in his chest  :~(.  He took his blood pressure several times, and rested on the lanair for a bit, but was finally feeling better so we headed to the chiro.  His back felt so much better after an adjustment…YAY!!!  We voted on the way home.  Michael left around 3 PM for the tournament dinner and raffles, and was barely home again before leaving for the movies with Larry.

I spent the afternoon and evening working on the customer quilt and got it all basted:

My camera does not accurately show the beautiful colors in this quilt top.
The quilt is flannel, but I have to say it is like no flannel I’ve ever felt….it feels like buttah….and the drape is beautiful!!

I wanted to show you what a friend of mine does….you know I donate Quilts of Valor to the local VFW to be handed out to veterans?  Well, the wife of the man who gives them out folds them so beautifully:

Isn’t that terrific?  Andi folds them so that you can still see the quilt, but her husband can read the label to the receiving veteran….perfect!

And to steal from Paul Harvey….here’s the ‘rest of the story’: https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2018/11/donald-trump-foxconn-scam
