SHQ Show & Tell

I pulled a few things together to work on at quilting Thursday morning (10/3) and headed out at 9 AM.  I stopped at the library on the way to pick up THE DREAM DAUGHTER for Loree and was at quilting by 9:15.  We were back in Osceola (remember, we have not been meeting there for several weeks due to the kitchen flood) and I think everyone was happy to be “home”.

We had lots of beautiful show and tell:

Susie started out to make just 9 circles...then 12...then finally ended up with 48!!!  She said this quilt contained NO machine stitching...totally hand pieced and hand quilted...incredible!!!

So then of course June got up and said her quilt contained not even ONE hand stitch!!  This is her mile a minute quilt with all of her mile a minute blocks

Robin did a table topper

Sandy had this quilt made out of leftover blocks from a friend

check out the sides of Mary's quilt...unique edges and binding

a finished one block wonder....stunning

and this is the very pretty pieced back from Linda's "Loree" quilt

Jerri does a large string pieced quilt

and her maze quilt

the quilting on this was very nice and unusual

and wonderful food for our first of the month pot luck.  I was home around 2 PM with new library books, so of course I spent several hours getting into the first one :~). I ran over to Pat’s for a short visit and to pick up some embroidery before heading back home to pizza leftovers with my honey and relaxing for the rest of the evening.
