Cookie, train to Charlotte, quilters, Donna, symphony rehearsal

We were up at o’dark hundred Friday morning (2/19) to get breakfast out of the way and meet Bobbi at the Pickle Ball courts at 8 AM.  I guess we made the bed too soon....someone wasn't done snuggling in it:

We drove to the train station to take the train into the big city :~).

We had tickets to the symphony rehearsal for their Gershwin concert and we met up with 3 other quilters at the Belk.

me, Linda, Bobbi, Leslie, Vicki

One delightful thing was finding out that Donna (neighbor and friend) was volunteering at the Belk.

 The rehearsal was FABULOUS!!!!

Michael and I were not even dating yet when we discovered that Rhapsody in Blue was our favorite piece of music!!  The pianist was wonderful (even if he did look like a cowboy :~)

We stopped on the way home to check out dishwashers, and upon leaving the store, Michael saw another nail in one of our tires!!!  We spent an hour at the tire store and finally arrived home at 3 PM.  Just enough time to make a pit stop, take the dog out, and head back out to Michael’s routine heart doctor appointment.  When we finally got home close to 5, we both sat like lumps for a bit before dinner.  After dinner I did a little more cutting on my secret project, then snuggled in for TV with my honey.
