Wednesday (3/14) was a wonderful day! Michael left early for golf and Cookie and I spent the day together…there was plenty of playing…and lots of sleeping (during which mom got lots of cutting and ironing done on retreat stuff) and we stopped up at square dancing in the afternoon. I am the treasurer, so have to show up for every dance…but they had the exact right number of people, so we took off for Wendy’s (a fish sandwich) and then had a ride around the compound (with Cookie) to see some of the new houses being built. I also got a chocolate layer cake baked with chocolate icing to take to quilting on Thursday for someone’s birthday.
Michael planted our front flower boxes last November, and the bunnies promptly ate everything right down to the soil. It has been a long, slow road back, but while I was in CT they all finally burst back into bloom…they look terrific:
