MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! We hopped up Christmas
morning (12/25) and popped the sticky buns into the oven.
Then we opened our first gifts…..from “CAN
CAN” Santa I got a new can opener (truly a superior gift and Michael knows it!)
and from “Hercule Poirot” Santa, Michael got….are you ready for it…a Belgian
waffle maker!!! (to finally replace our broken one)
I can’t believe he didn’t
guess what he was getting….he almost ALWAYS guesses the gifts from my Santa…but
he was going down a completely different path.
After that, we called our neighbors Anne & Bryce to ask if they
wanted to come over to share Christmas breakfast. Michael popped open the champagne, I got the
frozen strawberries, and we all toasted the holiday!

The breakfast was pronounced yummy…then we
headed over to A&B’s to see Anne’s Christmas present. It was a beautiful pendant necklace, with
many stones representing their entire family….it was truly lovely. Back home again, Michael took Cookie for a
walk, while I got a few more (recently discovered) presents wrapped (I guess I
just take after my mom…when everything was opened on Christmas mornings, she
would look around with a puzzled expression, and then go running off to her too
secret hiding place and find another gift or 2 :~).

We settled in to address our Christmas cards
and watch anther Christmas movie….can you guess what it was?
Yep, The Christmas Story (aka you’ll shoot
your eye out), then it was onto to White Christmas and finally the Fort Mill
community Playhouse production of Harvey.
In between we drove around to about a dozen houses, finally handing out
the last of our Christmas food gifts. And
I also got a little bit of sewing done while Michael played on his computer….the
final 2 rows got sewn and the top is done:
There were more gifts along the way:
Until the final....ultimate.....gift, from "Major Award" Santa:
It will reside in our front window for the Christmas season. It was a wonderful and magical Christmas
day.
