gas houser eggs, June visits

When there’s fresh bread in the house my honey likes to make gas houser eggs, so that was his breakfast Thursday morning (3/19):

before heading out on errands: the bank, ALDI’s, the international store for pierogis, liquor store, WALGREENS, dropping off fabric scraps to be made into stuffing for dog beds and Harris Teeter.
June came over around 9-ish to load up a quilt.  Just like Janice, June said '‘man, I thought you just loaded it up and kicked it off…this is a lot of work….HOW DO YOU DO THIS BY YOURSELF’'??!!!

This quilt came from a woman here at SCCL.  She is losing her sight, and wanted to give away her squares for a color wash quilt.  I suggested June as the recipient, but when June went to pick them up, the woman gave June ALL of her quilting/fabric supplies.  This quilt top (made with many upholstery fabrics) was part of what June was given.  Many of the seams had come apart, and June decided to fix the seams and finish the quilt to give back to this woman.  I knew June would never be able to manuver this quilt on her longarm (it is WAY TOO BIG and way too heavy), so suggested that she come over and quilt it on mine.

While she got her quilt loaded and basted and kicked off the quilting,

I worked on my under the sea quilt, ripping out basting, burying bobbin ends and getting it trimmed.  By the time June was finished in the late afternoon:

I had my quilt ready to go on the to-be-bound pile:

and had pulled our taxes together  :~).  Anne came over for a visit on the lanair (it was SO WARM out there….crazy!), and eventually Michael went out to get our ARBY’s fish sandwiches for dinner.  It was a relaxing, TV watching evening.
