Sunday morning (6/26) it was actually a tiny bit cooler, so we had breakfast on the deck while reading the paper. Michael watered our front beds after breakfast and then took off on a bike ride. We have been running so much in June that we feel like we really haven’t seen our neighbors much, so we asked Bryce and Ann and Susan to come over for cards in the evening. I wasn’t going to make anything, but I was searching for a new lace cookie recipe that didn’t use molasses and I came across an easy recipe for raspberry/chocolate bar cookies, so I whipped those up before heading downstairs to sew (thanks to Marc and Kate’s jar of raspberry preserves from the wedding!) Michael left around 1:30 to go to a play featuring one of his theatre buddies. He was home by 4:30 and we had dinner shortly afterwards. We played cards with our neighbors from 7-9 and then I read for a bit while Michael tried to watch the end of the GHO before bed.
