BG and I had a FABULOUS day on Monday
(10/8). Michael left to go golfing, and
we started out our day by having coffee/tea out on the lanair and enjoying nature and talking with each other. We eventually hit the kitchen for homemade cinnamon bread with peanut butter for breakfast. And kitties (who wouldn't come in when we did), finally let us know that they wanted to join us:
After that we got busy and
made lemon brownies (a new recipe from BG...yum!!)
and classic lemon bars:
We called Anne and she came over after Cooking Fingers and got to take
home treats!
After that we hit the
studio and finished all 15 of our dragonfly bodies:
We just BLEW through this project...and we are both very happy!!! We had company while we were working:
Linda (hearing aid person), came by for a
visit after work and got to pick up some lemon-y treats, then BG and I hit WENDY”s in the golf cart for dinner
(getting soaked on the way home from a torrential shower) while Michael headed
to Red Bowl and picked up pot stickers and tempura shrimp. It was nice having dinner all together :~).
We headed back downstairs and I got a few more rows done on Paula’s
quilt before BG spread out all of our wings on the pool table and we each
picked our favorites.
I did get the final 2 borders on the elephant quilt, so this is ready to be quilted just as soon as my machine is free.
It was a full and
fun packed day.
wow-- what great workers u guys are!
