New Year’s Day – It was a rainy, cold day and we spent the morning cleaning up from the party and running over to the local EMT station to drop off food goodies.  In the early afternoon we sat in front of the fire enjoying our books, but by the later afternoon we were in front of the TV watching THE TWO TOWERS and RETURN OF THE KING (second and third movies in the LORD OF THE RINGS franchise) and addressing cards for our post holiday missive.  The movies lasted until 10:30…but which time the cards were done and so were we!  We headed to bed.
