Saturday (1/31) was basically a Fiber
Floozie sew-in all day at Janice's house
our hosts: Dennis & Janice, although Dennis did his part by staying out of the way! |
with Leila,
Leila with show and tell |
& Mary
Jo.
We were all working on different projects...
more show & tell from BG |
eating and laughing and
having a wonderful time. Janice has a huge dining room table, and that's
where we all set up our machines. She had a smaller table for cutting, an
ironing board at the other end...and the kitchen island was filled with
food :~)
Tara came by in the afternoon
Janice & Tara |
and completed a neo-natal
quilt top,
and Karen B arrived for dinner.
We finally raised a glass to Jeannie (missing Fiber Floozie!)
What a truly FABULOUS
day! BTW - I forgot to mention that BG really loved the 2 quilts I
brought her, but I'm not going to quilt any more of her quilts until she comes
for a visit (potentially May) when she can help to quilt them!

We were up at 7 again on Sunday (2/1)
and after breakfast, BG put together crusty rye bread before we settled into
sewing once again. I have to admit, bringing all of my mile-a-minute
scraps was a good thing to pack...but I am SO BORED doing them all at
once!!! It will be much, much better when I do a few at the end of every
project. But I was up to 119 squares completed (with only 469 more to go
:~) before we settled in to watch the Super Bowl, with another smurfy dinner of
ruebens, corned beef mac & cheese, and goats bites (sweet potato skins with
goat cheese & olives). It was an exciting game...and BG's team pulled
it out in the end. After that it was off to bed, as the snow began to
fall once again.
