I pulled a few things together to work on at quilting Thursday
morning (10/3) and headed out at 9 AM. I
stopped at the library on the way to pick up THE DREAM DAUGHTER for Loree and
was at quilting by 9:15. We were back in
Osceola (remember, we have not been meeting there for several weeks due to the
kitchen flood) and I think everyone was happy to be “home”.
We had lots of beautiful show and tell:
Susie started out to make just 9 circles...then 12...then finally ended up with 48!!! She said this quilt contained NO machine stitching...totally hand pieced and hand quilted...incredible!!! |
So then of course June got up and said her quilt contained not even ONE hand stitch!! This is her mile a minute quilt with all of her mile a minute blocks |
Robin did a table topper |
Sandy had this quilt made out of leftover blocks from a friend |
check out the sides of Mary's quilt...unique edges and binding |
a finished one block wonder....stunning |
and this is the very pretty pieced back from Linda's "Loree" quilt |
Jerri does a large string pieced quilt |
and her maze quilt |
the quilting on this was very nice and unusual |
and
wonderful food for our first of the month pot luck. I was home around 2 PM with new library
books, so of course I spent several hours getting into the first one :~). I ran
over to Pat’s for a short visit and to pick up some embroidery before heading
back home to pizza leftovers with my honey and relaxing for the rest of the
evening.
