On
Monday morning (5/29) I cut pieces of the coffee cake from Sunday morning and
we headed up to Paula’s around 8:30. Her
house is a prime viewing spot for all of the parades we have and for Memorial
Day she always hosts a breakfast for many of her neighbors and friends along with parade viewing. There were many patriotically dressed guests:
our hostess with the mostess...Paula |
Susie |
Joanne |
Ruth |
The food was all wonderful
(especially the
mimosas!):
and the parade (only 65 golf carts this year) was fun:
Uncle Sam is always a favorite participant |
Waylone blowing bubbles as they passed |
We all sat around and talked for awhile before finally heading home:
The rest of the day was spent in our usual
way….me quilting/piecing and Michael golfing :~). By 7 PM the quilting was finished on the
second patriotic:
and I headed upstairs
to watch TV with my honey and rip out a seam from the baby quilt. It should be all put together in a day or 2
and ready for borders.
