We had a wonderful breakfast Sunday (9/23) of
overnight waffles and bacon:
leftovers for consumption later in the week |
It was a
rather relaxing day as we decided not to make any new desserts, since we would be
making other food for the cast party. Inez
and I hit the grocery store early and got everything we needed, then had a
chance to read our books in the morning and I got to sew a bit in the afternoon
after Michael left for the last performance.
Around 5 PM, Inez and I headed to the kitchen to put together ham/cheese/poppyseed sliders
and 2 ruebenwiches.
We also had macaroni salad, tortilla chips, and we filled the cream puffs with a mixture of vanilla pudding and drizzled chocolate over them, along with more cupcakes:
It was a
small party, but everyone showed up at 7 PM and started to dig in.

At 7:42 we herded everyone outside for an
out-of-this-world experience as we all watched the International Space Station
fly overhead!!! The youngsters had to
leave shortly after that, but the rest of us sat around talking until 9:30. It was a lovely evening and a nice chance to
get to bed before mid-night!
