blueberry muffins, alcohol ink time w/ Laure

I made blueberry muffins for breakfast
with our own organic blueberries....frozen over the summer

on Saturday (10/4) and Michael ate in front of the TV, watching the Dunhill Cup tournament at Carnoustie & The Old Corse (where he and Marc played last year).  I packed up all of the men’s clothes I’ve been collecting for the year and called Domer to come and pick them up for the Men’s Shelter in Charlotte, but he was at the beach, so they have to sit until Monday.  We went to 521 BBQ for lunch…YUM! and when we got home, Laure requested a demo on Michael's alcohol inks (she was fascinated)

and she finally decided to try some herself.
she gloves up....

and dives in....

let's add this color....

ta-da!

We had a driveway party in the late afternoon and around a dozen people stopped by to drink and talk and snack on munchies.  The 3 of us played FARKLE Saturday evening before bed.

Sunday morning (10/5) was a leisurely breakfast, then I drove Laure to the airport.  The visit went by very quickly, but she promised to visit again.  I wanted to be productive in the afternoon, but after our recent cold spell, it was wonderful to sit out on the deck, looking at the blue, blue sky and read my book.  Michael got home from practicing at golf in time to shower and cook hotdogs on the grill.  Jan & Walt and Mark showed up before 6 for dinner, and we had a good time talking and eating.  They were gone by 7:30 and I got in a little sewing time in the studio while Michael watched TV.
